What Baby's Up To:
Currently, our little guy is the size of a Coconut!! He's between 17 & 18 inches long and probably won't get much lengthier than this. He weighs between 4 & 6 pounds and will probably just keep getting more plump. He very much prefers the left side of my stomach to the right. He's constantly making a little home in my ribs with his bum. While this was cute for a while, it's not starting to feel uncomfortable since he's getting bigger and stronger! Another neat tid bit, his hearing is fully developed!
How I'm Feeling:
I'm feeling very pregnant and very swollen. My shoes don't fit, my rings don't fit, my face feels like a balloon. It's incredibly hot outside and, although I love the heat, it's not doing great things for the swelling. I'm getting a lot of braxton hicks contractions and even some that have mild cramping, which totally freaks me out (and made me pack my hospital bags!). Due to some of the flooding in our city, our train system is down for at least another week. There are shuttle buses to take us from a certain point to our downtown core. However, the stop they use for the shuttle bus is quite a bit farther than the stop I normally get off of and the walk to work in the mornings has become a real struggle. Like, get to work and want to cry I'm in so much pain kind of struggle.
In fact, this morning, because of not sleeping well and having a blocked tear duct, and waking up aching all over, and then having to walk to work and almost crying because of the pain, and being 20 minutes late because of the traffic and then having my office rearranged AND even a few other things that just aren't worth mentioning... *gasp* I might have totally cried for 2 minutes at my desk.
In other news, our baby room is painted and the carpets have been shampooed and all we need to do now is furnish it and organize all the amazing stuff we have for him! Here's a sneak peek at the nursery! :D
I adore the wall colour! And you look lovely.
