Next week at this time I will be full term. woah.
What Baby's Up To:
Our little man is approximately the size of a Honeydew Melon! Nom! He's about the same size as last week and just continues to beef up. His lungs/breathing are almost perfect. His kidney's & liver are 100% functional! Circulation & immune system are in functioning order! He's almost done cookin'! Next week, as I mentioned above, I will be full term and this little guy is capable of making his appearance at pretty much ANY time now. How completely exciting. He's managed to flip a couple times, which is insanely uncomfortable. I'm impressed that there is even room TO flip, but leave it to my little ninja and he's figured it out. Already a smarty! Let's hope there's no more flipping from here on out! ;)
How I'm Feeling:
Still swollen! It doesn't seem as bad the last couple days, but the weather has been a tad cooler which may be helping in that area. yay! Otherwise, the only thing really new this week is that I've noticed a major decrease in my energy levels. I am finding myself very tired a lot earlier in the day. Which I chalk up to carrying around an extra 30lbs. hah!
I have packed our little guys hospital bag! Below is a list of must have items for him during his hospital stay:
Nursing Blankets - x2
Burp Clothes - x2
Soothers - x2
Diapers - x5
Wipes - Small Travel Pack Size
Onsies - x3
Going Home Outfit - x2 (You know, just in case he doesn't like one!)
If you have suggestions for any additional must have's let me know so I can add them to his bag!
I've yet to fully pack my bag but I have started. It's fun and scary being at this point in my pregnancy. So excited to meet this guy.
BUMP PICS!
It's Stampede time 'round these parts and I've kept it festive by wearing plaid and stuff.

You look so good!!
ReplyDeleteYou'll probably find you don't use much of the stuff you pack...the hospital supplies diapers, wipes, tons of receiving blankets, etc. But, you never know. I still packed all of that the 2nd time around, just in case...it's all stuff you need at some point anyway so it's not a waste!
I never used soothers when the girls were that young but one thing to think about is that you'd want them to be sterilized first so maybe something to do before you toss them in the bag (I was dumb and didn't realize and the first time I tried one with Sammy, I opened the package and just stuck it in her mouth!).
