What Baby's Up To:
Pineapple's! Lots and lots of pineapples! Just kidding, just one pineapple is how big this little guy is this week! This week (and the coming weeks) are pretty exciting. Baby Boy is going through major brain and nerve development! He's getting smarter! I don't know what you learn in utero but he's learning about it! :D
His irises now react to light! All 5 of his senses are working! I kind of wonder what it smells like in there. He's also SUPER active and his kicks are strong! At my last appointment it was determined that he is head down, which is awesome!
How I'm Feeling:
The swelling has begun! I couldn't get my wedding rings off this morning before my shower and decided once I did manage to get them off with the help of some lotion that I wouldn't put them back on today. My feet are also feeling quite snug in my shoes these days. I really hope they go back so that I can fit into all my shoes again. Otherwise I guess I need to go on a major shopping spree... I think I have some pretty usual third trimester symptoms, swelling, tiredness, short of breath, braxton hicks, difficulty sleeping, etc. My doctor also said that because I'm carrying so small that I will probably feel a lot more braxton hicks than other ladies. Apparently, things are pretty squishy in there.
Over the weekend I attended my baby shower. It was absolutely wonderful and completely overwhelmed me with love for my friends and family. So many people came and I was so incredibly touched to get to see everyone. We got some amazing things, and I am just ever so grateful for the people in my life.
