Birthday Parties!

Over the weekend we got to celebrate our 2 boys birthday's! They are 3 years apart but their birthdays are a day apart. It makes for one big shared birthday every year, which they don't seem to mind.

I had so much fun planning it this year. I was, as much as I ever am, totally organized this year and planned a LEGO themed party. It worked out perfectly this year for lego as they turned 6 & 9 and those are perfect numbers for lego blocks!

We mostly invited family with a couple little friends. I think there were about 9 kids total and about 13 adults.

Here's some pictures from the event!

I bought some plain red and yellow paper bags. Cut and glued construction paper circles on them to give the "lego block" appearance. They were fun to make.

I made their banner out of construction paper. Simon drew me a lego head stencil and I traced all the heads for each letter. This was also fun and I was pretty proud of it.

Their cakes were fun, but I wish the colours would have turned out brighter and I wish my frosting skills were much better.
